We continue our retail expansion with the opening of our Barcelona store, the third ZIMMERMANN store in Spain. The store is a split-level space, seeing our collections spread across the multiple rooms on the top level. A terrazzo staircase leads to a basement lounge and fitting area for visitors.

Studio McQualter designed a functional, yet creative space which features a balance of Australian touches. The interior features custom diamond terrazzo tiles, Stilnovo wall light, European tapestries, and rattan chairs by Ico Parisi. We have also integrated large doors throughout the space, to define separate areas of the store and accentuate the statement ceiling heights.

The inclusion of original art is a key feature of the design, with works by James Drinkwater, Josef Hoffman and Nelly Bonnard found throughout the store. A local artisan designed the bespoke motif surrounding the entrance using the traditional Spanish craft of sgraffito.
