Our new flagship in Madrid sees us continue our European retail expansion. Featuring an eclectic mix of vintage furniture and Australian art, the original architecture is complemented by a unique space that embodies the Zimmermann brand.

Respecting the history of the 1880’s building by Cristóbal de Lecumberri was forefront of the design by Studio McQualter. White high gloss walls, exposed services and custom Palladiana flooring add a contemporary contrast to the heritage features in the main retail area. Deeper into the store, an intimate lounge area is opened with daylight from an internal courtyard with a handwoven carpet and high gloss tan walls.

The furniture is a mix of design classics and rare vintage pieces from the late 20th century including a Grand Tonalá peacock vase, a George I style chinoiserie side chair and an Ettore Sottsass pendant which hangs in the storefront window. The artwork is a collection from Australian artists including Tom Polo, Emily Ferretti, Evi O, Belem Lett and a sculpture by Glenn Barkley.
